I have not been to Cracker Barrel in a while. Boy has it gone downhill. They were out of some advertised meals. The meal portions were very small. Regular hash browns were $1 more. Swapping out mash potatoes for a baked potatoe was an upcharge. The cornbread came burned. The mashed potatoes were dry. The biscuits were not fresh. How could this chain have gone downhill so far. Unfortunately this is not a model for repeat business. I doubt I will ever be back.

Very disappointed with our experience at Cracker Barrel. We came in, placed our order, and waited for over an hour, but never received any of the food we ordered except for the drinks. The worst part was that nobody even apologized. The staff just kept telling us, “please wait 2 more minutes,” over and over again. What made it even more frustrating was seeing other customers who arrived after us getting their food while we were completely ignored. It honestly felt like our order was forgotten. This kind of customer service is unacceptable. We wasted a huge amount of time, left hungry, and had our evening ruined. I do not recommend this place because of the unprofessional and disrespectful treatment toward customers.

Generally, our experiences a Cracker Barrel are very, very good and we very much look forward to going to the restaurants. However, this was the rare exception. The waitress was very polite and friendly, and older lady who went out of her way to try to do everything to make sure we had a good experience; however, there were a few problems with the food. The manager was walking around through all the tables and asking people how everything was. Our table and two other tables tried to tell him that it wasn’t good and he merely said OK to the next table… Like he never even heard the answers. There was an elderly couple with the next table who heard our response and walked over to us and asked if they heard correctly and we said they did… Because apparently they also said they had a problem and he did the same thing to them and we noticed that he did the same thing to another table as well. So we had subpar food and a manager, who really didn’t care, but fortunately, the waitress was extremely friendly, which salvage the situation a little bit however, she didn’t seem to be able to do anything about the food either… Which is really weird because Cracker Barrel usually make sure they

We were working near Joliet for a couple of weeks, and even though the hotel breakfast was decent, we found ourselves coming back to Cracker Barrel almost every morning. One of the things we liked most was that it was never too crowded at the time we visited, so we were seated quickly and the service was always fast. The servers were consistently friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made our mornings even better. The food was exactly what you expect from Cracker Barrel—good portions, tasty breakfast options, and a comfortable atmosphere. After two weeks of dining here regularly, it became one of our favorite breakfast spots in the area. Definitely recommended!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Cracker Barrel! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The customer service was excellent — everyone made us feel right at home. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious with generous portions. Everything came out in a timely manner, and you could tell care was put into the meal. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had that cozy, family atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. A special thank you to the team for being so kind, professional, and making our visit enjoyable. Great food, excellent service, and a pleasant environment — we will definitely be back! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
